Xe MRI Clinical Trials Consortium Annual Meeting
The Xe MRI Clinical Trials Consortium launched its Annual Meeting in 2016 as a forum for fostering collaboration and advancing the field of hyperpolarized gas MRI research. In the decade since, the meeting has evolved into a large, international conference assembling scientists and clinicians from institutions within and outside of the Consortium, highlighting innovative areas of 129Xe MRI research and clinical application. Thought leaders and early-career investigators participate in tandem to advance collaboration and to implement multi-center studies.
Forum for Advancing Xe MRI
The application of Xe MRI in pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials has become an increasingly important focus of the Consortium in recent years, and the Annual Meeting agenda reflects this evolution. Representatives from pharmaceutical companies developing therapies across a broad spectrum of respiratory diseases actively participate in collaborative discussions throughout the meeting, fostering partnerships and helping lay the groundwork for future clinical trials.
A Growing Pharma Representation
The Annual Meeting takes place across three days in January, beginning with a welcome reception and Keynote address on a Wednesday evening and concluding on a Friday afternoon. In between, attendees enjoy a variety of session types, including scientific presentations, breakout workshops, roundtable discussions, and expert-led panels. Concurrent sessions allow attendees with varying interests to select which topics are most applicable to their research, clinical practice, and stage in implementation of Xe MRI. Principal topics covered during the conference include emerging innovations in 129Xe MRI, insights and milestones from multi-center studies, private industry updates, perspectives from study funders, case examples detailing the clinical application of 129Xe MRI, needs assessments for pharma-sponsored clinical trials, and workshops for designing trails.
Robust, Three-Day Agenda
At the center of the Annual Meeting is the allowance for informal networking opportunities. The conference blends interactive sessions with rich networking, creating space for the informal conversations that often ignite future research and lead to interdisciplinary collaboration. Leaders from academic research, clinical practice, and private industry all attend, representing institutions and corporations from all over the globe. In addition to the meeting’s robust scientific program, attendees enjoy two nights lodging and all meals as part of their registration.
